Escal'Ouest links Lorient and Port-Louis to Île de Groix in about 40 minutes, from April to September, complementing the regular BreizhGo line.
The seasonal line to Groix
Escal'Ouest is a Lorient-based company running seasonal crossings to Île de Groix from April to September, alongside its cruises in the harbour of Lorient. It is the main alternative to the year-round public ferry.
Two departure points
Boats leave both from Lorient and from Port-Louis, on the other side of the harbour, with a crossing time of about 40 minutes to Port-Tudy. Adult single fares are around €17 and returns around €30 (2026).
Booking
Booking is online only, on the company's booking platform. Departures are more frequent in July and August; check the calendar early in high season, as boats fill up quickly on fine days.
