How to take the ferry to the Breton islands?
Each island is served by one or more ferry and boat shuttle companies. Crossings depart from ports along the Atlantic coast: Brest, Le Conquet, Roscoff, Quiberon, Lorient, Vannes, Fromentine, Granville or Fouras. Crossing times range from 5 minutes (Île aux Moines) to 2.5 hours (Ouessant from Brest).
Ferry fares depend on the season, the company and the departure port. Expect between €6 and €44 per adult for a round trip. Some routes accept vehicles (Belle-Île, Groix, Yeu) while other islands are entirely car-free.
To check boat schedules and book your ferry tickets, select an island above and go directly to the ferry company's website. Book in advance during the summer holidays.
